One of the first things you'll want to do with your new Watchmark account is set up you facilities to mimic how they're organized in the real world - this will let you easily target permissions later.
If you set up Campuses properly, it's easy to say things like "Give this group access to all buildings on the San Francisco campus and just one building on the London campus" instead of having to manually select dozens of doors.
Steps
- Make sure you understand the big picture of how Campuses, Buildings, and Doors work
- As an admin user, log in and click Settings in the bottom of the sidebar
- Click the Campuses tab and set up Campuses
- Click the Buildings tab and set up Buildings, attaching each to the appropriate Campus
- At the top of the sidebar, click the Doors dashboard
- If you've bought access panels through your account and the've been manufactured, you should see Doors already
- If you're installing an access panel you didn't by directly through your account, click the "Actions" icon in the upper right and click "Add a new door" - then enter the Serial number found behind the faceplate access panel hardware
- Make sure you assign each Door to the proper Building
